ABOUT A2F CONSULTING: A2F Consulting is a fast-growing consulting company offering advisory services to the financial sector in emerging markets and developing countries. Our team consists of some of the most experienced experts in this field, with both cross-regional institution-building background in microfinance, SME banking and rural finance, as well as management consulting background with top-tier banks in the European Union and the United States. Job Title: Bank Examiner(s) Industry: Consulting / Financial Services / Emerging Markets Job Location: Washington DC Area (USA) / Amsterdam (The Netherlands) Type: Full time Start date: September 2011 RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS Provide training and advisory services to public and private sector clients on financial sector policy and supervision, risk management, audit etc. Proactively support business development including the regular review of procurement notices by international development agencies and preparation of project / investment proposals Team leadership and oversight of client engagements (from proposal writing to final report) Knowledge management and Training Perform strategic and financial analysis of potential investment targets for in-house private equity fund or on behalf of clients Use management consulting skills to help manage investee institutions throughout all stages of transformation projects QUALIFICATIONS An advanced degree, such as an MS, MBA, or PhD in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or IT from an accredited university Minimum of 5 years post-graduate work experience in a commercial bank or management consulting firm with strong focus on financial services Work experience with banking supervision, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and /or a similar entities Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines as team member as well as task manager Excellent analytical and conceptual skills Outstanding client management and interpersonal skills Excellent oral and written communication Working knowledge of a foreign language would be a plus Willingness to travel extensively and work in a multicultural environment Please send your application letter with detailed CV, references and salary history of the past three years to recruit@a2f-c.com. We are therefore looking for an exceptionally motivated Senior Economist with a strong quantitative background, who shares our passion for international development and the excitement of working in a dynamic young company.
